Frozen Semen

The system Dr. George Govette developed in the beginning of the 1980's to freeze semen, is absolutely unique. Behind the method lies a long time of research to find the best way of freezing and also for semen identification and storage system. For this CLONE developed its own extender solutions for preparing and preserving the semen as well as for thawing out the semen. These solutions are one of the major factors that makes the CLONE system different from all other systems available. The solutions have been developed after many years of intense research and are evaluated and ameliorated all the time. These solutions are available strictly from CLONE INC in USA but are used for freezing in all Clone Centers around the world. The identification and storage system are also uniform in all Clone facilities so you can be sure to have the same quality throughout the line wherever you are.

With the CLONE method of freezing the motility of the semen is generally over 70% after dethawing. With other methods the motility rates of dethawed semen is often about 40 – 50 % and even lower. Research has shown that the fertility rate starts to decline rapidly after the motility of the post thawed semen decreases below 50 %. Also the semen frozen by CLONE maintain their motility for up to 3 days after dethawing, in refrigerator temperatures. With other methods there is virtually no motility one day after dethawing the semen. These features significantly affect the rate of success.
